Florida Redevelopment Association awards Marketing/Communications Award to LDI for the design of the City of Oviedo’s Economic Development Brochure at the annual conference in Orlando.
Land Design Innovations, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica L. Sheng as creative designer to our Maitland office. Ms. Sheng is currently in the new Masters in Planning program at the University of Central Florida. Her previous experience specialized in international master planned communities, mixed-use/urban design, resort planning and development, graphics and branding/marketing.
Millville Waterfront Visioning Plan awarded to LDI by the Panama City Community Redevelopment Agency.This plan provides a guide for the future utilization of the Millville Waterfront Area that reflects the vision and community objectives indentified by the Millville Working Waterfronts Partnership, the Millville area businesses and residents of Panama City.
House Bill 697 (2008), Energy Efficient Land Use, Energy Conservation, and Reduction of Greenhouse Gasses, has been withdrawn pending further review and consideration (Nov. 2010 update). The Florida Planning and Zoning Association honored LDI and RWA Consulting with a Public Safety Award at the annual conference in Sarasota for their work on the Immokalee Public Realm Plan and the Central Business District Form-Based Design Guidelines. Created in partnership with the Immokalee Community Redevelopment Agency, the Plan emphasizes the cultural diversity and heritage of the community and ensures a consistent visual cultural theme.
LDI announces the appointment of Erin N. Provenzale, LEED AP as Community Planner to our Maitland office.
Ms. Provenzale has earned a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and has more than four years of planning experience specializing in energy efficient planning and green design. Prior to joining LDI, Ms. Provenzale worked for the Department of Community Affairs as a reviewer for their Southeast region.
City of Gulf Breeze awards LDI contract for construction drawings for streetscape improvements. The City received a Florida Department of Transportation grant for streetscape improvements with Phase I of the project to include the U.S. 98 corridor from the entrance of Gulf Breeze Elementary School to Andrew Jackson Trail.
LDI awarded Panama City CRA streetscape improvements along Martin Luther King Boulevard
(SR 77) from 7th Street to U.S. 98. The CRA was awarded a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) landscape grant and contracted with LDI to prepare conceptual and construction documents in compliance with FDOT’s requirements and deadlines.
LDI awarded streetscape designs for the City of Melbourne’s Eau Gallie CRA area. The project consisted of a visual preference workshop, streetscape designs for four streets in the downtown Eau Gallie Community Redevelopment area, and conceptual designs in compliance with FDOT’s requirements and deadlines, as well as photo simulations of the streetscape improvements.
LDI was named one of the Largest Women-Owned Businesses by The Orlando Business Journal. LDI was honored to receive this designation in our continuing commitment to provide sustainable design principles in all design projects.
