Expertise

Our current full-time staff of 17 consists of 2 registered professionals,
9 engineers, designers, CADD/survey technicians, 1 GIS Specialist, 4 administrative professionals and 1 systems network administrator.
We normally field two fully equipped survey crews.
EKA utilizes state-of-the-art computer
technology in the design of our projects. This allows us to fully integrate survey and mapping, design
and construction survey control phases of the project. We are able to transfer mapping and design information
on electronic media to the owner or other consultants and also to the field for construction layout. EKA
currently has a local area network with 4 servers and 31 computers, with 20 being full service AutoCAD workstations.
Plotting is typically done in-house using a HP DesignJet color plotter and a Xerox 6050 plotter/copier.
CADD generated drawings are an essential part of our concept to produce the work on the projects under this contract.

EKA
utilizes state-of-the-art total station and GPS survey equipment, computer technology including AutoDesk Release 2007 Landesktop
Survey software and Softdesk integrated Engineering design software. This allows us to optimize field survey
data collection, boundary calculations and map preparation phases of survey work. Our surveyors are able
to electronically transfer field data from survey data collectors to office computers each day and create semi-finished maps
of their work. This greatly improves our ability to check work on a daily basis and monitor job progress.
It also allows us to produce final survey maps efficiently since a large part of the site topography is literally drawn
in the field by the surveyors.
